1. Registrar Accreditation
Telsense Inc. operates as an ICANN-accredited domain name registrar under the terms of the Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA). Our IANA Registrar ID is publicly listed in the ICANN registrar database. We are bound by ICANN consensus policies, the RAA, and applicable registry agreements for all top-level domains (TLDs) we offer.
2. WHOIS Data Accuracy (Whois Accuracy Program Specification)
ICANN requires registrars to collect and maintain accurate WHOIS contact information for all domain registrations. By registering a domain through Telsense, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current registrant contact information
- Update contact information within 7 days of any change
- Respond to WHOIS data verification requests from Telsense within 15 days to avoid suspension
Failure to maintain accurate WHOIS information may result in domain suspension in accordance with ICANN policy.
3. Registration Data Publication (RDAP/WHOIS)
Domain registration data is published via the Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP) and legacy WHOIS services, subject to applicable privacy laws. Where GDPR or similar regulations apply, personally identifiable information may be redacted from public WHOIS output. Registrant data remains accessible to authorized parties including law enforcement, intellectual property rights holders, and ICANN-accredited parties via the ICANN SSAD (System for Standardized Access/Disclosure).
4. Registrant Rights and Responsibilities
ICANN's Registrant Rights and Responsibilities document outlines the following key rights you have as a domain registrant:
- The right to accurate information about the registrar's services, pricing, and policies
- The right to transfer your domain to another registrar at any time after a 60-day post-registration or post-transfer lock period
- The right to receive renewal reminders and adequate notice before domain expiration
- The right to a clear, binding dispute resolution process (UDRP/URS) for trademark disputes
- The right to access the ICANN Registrar Transfer Dispute Resolution Policy
- The right to submit complaints to ICANN regarding registrar conduct
5. Domain Transfer Policy
Inter-registrar domain transfers are governed by ICANN's Transfer Policy. Key provisions include:
- Telsense may not place a transfer lock on a domain except in specific circumstances permitted by ICANN policy
- Domains are subject to a 60-day lock period following registration or a successful inbound transfer
- Outbound transfers require a valid authorization code (EPP/Auth code) provided to the registrant within 5 business days of request
- Registrants are notified by email of any transfer request; transfers complete within 5 calendar days unless explicitly denied
6. Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP)
All gTLD registrations through Telsense are subject to ICANN's Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP). The UDRP provides a mechanism for resolving disputes over domain names that are alleged to infringe on trademarks. Proceedings are conducted by ICANN-approved dispute resolution service providers such as WIPO and the National Arbitration Forum (NAF). Telsense will comply with all decisions rendered under the UDRP.
7. Thick WHOIS and Registry Data Escrow
For applicable TLDs, Telsense submits registrant data to a thick WHOIS model at the registry level as required by ICANN's Registry Agreement. We also participate in ICANN's Data Escrow Program, depositing encrypted registration data with an ICANN-approved escrow agent on a daily and weekly basis to protect registrant data in the event of registrar failure.
8. Complaints and ICANN Escalation
If you believe Telsense has violated ICANN policies, you may submit a complaint directly to ICANN at icann.org/registrar-complaints. You may also contact Telsense directly at compliance@telsense.com to resolve any issue before filing with ICANN.
